Beautiful site, Hopefully Marquee and Charity event - on the Saturday 19th July there is a charity music festival in aid of getting defibrillators for the canal, this is put on by the land ownwer and last year was excellent.

Lovely tranquil area on the edge of the Lake District. Walks and cycle paths along the canal, visit Lyme Country House and Gardens or Anson Engine Museum. Bus stop nearby to Poynton.

Directions:

Take A523 Poynton to Macclesfield road, over rly bridge, take 1st L (before Travelodge) into Street Lane. Turn L at next junct for Wards End for 1m, site over canal bridge at RH bend.
